וַיִּוָּעַ֞ץ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֗ם אֶת־הַזְּקֵנִים֙ אֲשֶׁר־הָי֣וּ עֹמְדִ֗ים אֶת־פְּנֵי֙ שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה אָבִ֔יו בִּֽהְיֹת֥וֹ חַ֖י לֵאמֹ֑ר אֵ֚יךְ אַתֶּ֣ם נֽוֹעָצִ֔ים לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶת־הָֽעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה דָּבָֽר׃
At sumangguni si Haring Rehoboam sa matatandang naglingkod sa harap ni Solomon na kaniyang ama noong nabubuhay pa ito, na sinasabi: “Ano ang maipapayo ninyo kung paano ko sasagutin ang bayang ito?”
II Chronicles
And King Rechavam took counsel with the elders who had stood before Solomon his father when he was alive, saying: How do you counsel to return word to this people?
